Featuring MartinLogan’s advanced Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion XT Tweeter, a dedicated 6.5-inch Nomex-reinforced Kevlar midrange driver and three powerful 6.5-inch aluminium bass drivers, the Motion XT F100 delivers remarkable transparency, natural vocals and deep, controlled bass.
Advanced Gen2 Folded Motion XT Tweeter
At the heart of the Motion XT F100 is MartinLogan’s innovative Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion XT Tweeter, designed to reproduce high frequencies with exceptional speed, precision and minimal distortion.
Combined with MartinLogan’s Folded Motion Waveguide, the tweeter provides controlled 90° horizontal and 45° vertical dispersion, helping create a detailed, focused soundstage and a consistent listening experience.
Dedicated Midrange & Powerful Bass
The dedicated 6.5-inch Nomex-reinforced Kevlar midrange driver reproduces voices and instruments with exceptional clarity and naturalness.
Three 6.5-inch aluminium bass drivers provide impressive low-frequency extension, dynamic impact and excellent control, making the Motion XT F100 equally suited to demanding music recordings and cinematic soundtracks.

Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion® Tweeter XT
The Gen2 Obsidian FMT XT Tweeter has been upgraded with a larger motor to provide higher output and lower distortion. The FMT XT offers the most effortless and detailed sound in the Motion range with a 40% increase in surface area over our signature FMT. Outside of our legendary Electrostatic speakers, these new tweeters provide our cleanest, most detailed and accurate high frequency presentation to date.
Folded Motion® Waveguide
After an extensive evaluation of nearly 50 design options, the Folded Motion® Waveguide profile was meticulously chosen to harmoniously align with the dispersion of the midrange drivers, resulting in enhanced output. The waveguide guarantees consistent sound quality regardless of the listener’s position and minimizes unwanted room reflections. Proper waveguide design is crucial as it helps control the sound’s dispersion pattern, ensuring that the sound is evenly distributed across the listening area and resulting in optimal sound quality.
F.A.S.T. Outrigger Feet
The tower models in the Motion® range are designed with tool-less height adjustability in mind, using the included rubber feet or spikes, which enables the user to effortlessly level the speaker for optimal stability on any floor. Additionally, the built-in anti-vibration properties reduce the transfer of energy from the speaker to the floor, resulting in lower distortion and coloration, providing a more accurate and detailed sound.
