Featuring MartinLogan’s advanced Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion XT Tweeter and a 6.5-inch Nomex-reinforced Kevlar mid-bass driver, the Motion XT B100 delivers remarkable transparency, natural vocals and dynamic musical performance.
Advanced Gen2 Folded Motion XT Tweeter
At the heart of the Motion XT B100 is MartinLogan’s advanced Gen2 Obsidian Folded Motion XT Tweeter.
Featuring a larger diaphragm than the standard Folded Motion Tweeter, this innovative design provides exceptional high-frequency extension, increased output and reduced distortion.
Combined with MartinLogan’s Folded Motion Waveguide, the tweeter delivers controlled 90° horizontal and 45° vertical dispersion, helping maintain excellent clarity and a consistent listening experience across the room.
Powerful 6.5-Inch Kevlar Mid-Bass Driver
The Motion XT B100 incorporates a specially engineered 6.5-inch Nomex-reinforced Kevlar mid-bass driver.
Its lightweight yet rigid construction helps minimise unwanted resonance, delivering natural midrange reproduction, precise vocals and powerful, controlled bass.
The cast-aluminium driver basket and carefully engineered rear-ported cabinet contribute to the loudspeaker’s impressive acoustic performance.
Precision Crossover Technology
MartinLogan’s advanced McCracken-Vojtko crossover network has been developed to ensure seamless integration between the tweeter and mid-bass driver.

Installation & System Matching
For optimum performance, the Motion XT B100 should be positioned on suitable loudspeaker stands or a stable, acoustically appropriate surface, with the tweeters approximately at seated ear height.
As the speaker incorporates a rear bass port, adequate clearance should be provided behind the cabinet.
The optional MartinLogan STAND25 speaker stands provide a secure mounting solution and complement the loudspeaker’s design.
The Motion XT B100 can be combined with MartinLogan Motion XT floorstanding speakers, centre-channel speakers and high-performance subwoofers to create a complete home cinema system.

Outside of our legendary Electrostatic speakers, these new tweeters provide our cleanest, most detailed and accurate high frequency presentation to date.
Folded Motion® Waveguide
After an extensive evaluation of nearly 50 design options, the Folded Motion® Waveguide profile was meticulously chosen to harmoniously align with the dispersion of the midrange drivers, resulting in enhanced output. The waveguide guarantees consistent sound quality regardless of the listener’s position and minimizes unwanted room reflections.
