Description
The Sonance VX52R UTL is an exceptionally shallow high-performance in-ceiling speaker from the Sonance Visual Experience Series, specifically engineered for installations where conventional ceiling speakers simply will not fit.
With an extraordinary mounting depth of only 35.7 mm (1.41 inches), the VX52R UTL is ideal for shallow ceiling voids, concrete construction, apartments, high-rise developments and other space-restricted installations. Sonance designed the speaker to fit applications using 2.5-inch metal framing while retaining the acoustic technology of the Visual Experience range.
Despite its ultra-shallow construction, the VX52R UTL incorporates a 5.25-inch (130 mm) anodised aluminium woofertogether with a 1-inch (25 mm) cloth-dome tweeter. Sonance’s VX waveguide and crossover technology are designed to provide wide, consistent dispersion and natural tonal balance throughout the listening area.
The speaker has a frequency response of 55 Hz–20 kHz and sensitivity of 89 dB, making it suitable for high-quality multi-room audio, music systems and discreet home cinema installations.
A key advantage is its discreet architectural appearance. Paintable micro-trim and trimless grille options allow the speaker to blend neatly into the ceiling, while Sonance’s installation system simplifies fitting.
The complete speaker measures approximately 210 mm in diameter × just 35.7 mm deep, making the VX52R UTL one of the most useful Sonance solutions where ceiling depth is severely restricted.
