Description
Pure Theatre CR70 Projector Lift is one of our largest Ceiling Recessed Projector Lifts for concealing a projector in your ceiling space.
Pure Theatre CR70 Projector Lift
The Pure Theatre CR70 Projector Lift is a large motorised ceiling-recessed projector lift designed to conceal high-performance home cinema projectors completely within the ceiling when they are not in use.
At the touch of a button, the CR70 lowers the projector smoothly into its operating position. When viewing is finished, the projector retracts back into the ceiling, maintaining a clean and uncluttered appearance.
With space for projectors up to 550 × 700 × 270 mm (W × D × H) and a maximum projector weight of 50 kg, the CR70 is particularly suited to larger premium home cinema projectors. Pure Theatre currently recommends the CR70 for models including the JVC DLA-NZ800 and DLA-NZ900.
The CR70 can form part of a fully automated home cinema system, allowing the projector lift, electric projection screen, AV equipment and lighting to operate together from a remote control, touchscreen or smart-home control system.
At Riverside HiFi, we can design the complete installation around the CR70, including projector selection and compatibility, throw-distance calculations, screen sizing, ceiling positioning, HDMI and network cabling, control, automation and professional installation.

Pure Theatre states that the CR70 requires 10-inch joists with 785 mm between the joists.
Professional installation is recommended. Projector dimensions and weight, ceiling structure, ventilation, service access, cable routing, throw distance and screen position should all be established before installation.
The CR70 projector lift is our most popular retractable projector ceiling mount used to hide your projector into the ceiling when it’s not being used.
The motorised feature of the projector lift allows it to retract at the touch of a button.
Side View Dimensions

The side view shows the CR70 lift requires 10″ joists, with a distance of 785mm between joists. It is normal to trim a section from one joist to fit the lift.
Rear View Dimensions
Looking from the rear view you can see that the width required above the plasterboard cutout is 780mm.

Note that the minimum width above the plasterboard is wider then the plasterboard cutout, as the actuators are wider and these step over the plasterboard when installed.
